99 Columbians

After a month of work I'm pleased to announce the launch of "99 Columbians", a Flex-based multimedia exhibit featuring portraits of current Columbia students.

This project is a collaboration between photographers Angela Radulescu and Bennett Hong and produced by yours truly. I took on this project as a exercise in Adobe Flex. I had been looking for a decent excuse to jump into Flash development and Angela and Bennett's photographs provided plenty of motivation to learn the Flex SDK. The result is a unique Flash interface with a Ruby on Rails back end for sharing this phenomenal photo collection.

Look forward to analog versions of "99 Columbians" exhibits in March, organized by Robyn Burgess.
